Required Skills & Experience

• 1-2 years of related accounting experience
• Experience with Accounts receivable and billing with Blue Cross Blue Shield
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience in billing/collections, working with cash, banking, or a numbers-posting role
• Experience balancing a book (balancing against the amount that came in)
• Comfortable working in Excel and merging files

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Prior medical billing experience
• SAP experience
• CareVoyant experience
• Excel experience

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Comply with all applicable company policies and procedures
• Receive payments, credits, and denials pertaining to patient accounts and apply them accordingly
• Obtain payment details when not provided with payment
• Follow up with Collections personnel regarding non-payments on remittances
• Apply offset payments to patient accounts
• Download, process, and post electronic payments daily
• Maintain daily reports and reconcile them daily, weekly, and monthly with Accounting
• Respond to inquiries from facilities regarding billing issues

• Ability to work independently, multitask, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
